March has been a particularly challenging month for our country and the entire world. It has been no less challenging for our 60 partner organizations on the front lines serving some of the most marginalized among us. Many of the organizations and ministries that we support are working with people and living with them in community. Reentry homes for ex-offenders, safe houses for women coming out of trafficking, transitional homes for men and women… Each of them soldier on while adapting to the current health crisis and creating safe places and spaces to continue to minister.
In times like these, non-profits need our help and support more than ever. Serving USA has made a commitment to steadfastly stand alongside our partner organizations during these times with our financial support and management support. We also are innovating and adapting to continue to serve; utilizing online platforms and webinars and conference calls.
For the safety of our constituents and staff, we made the wise choice to cancel our two annual partner conferences that were scheduled in early March, with the hope and anticipation to reschedule them later in the year. We want to thank all of our Serving USA friends for their ongoing support and prayers during this time and we are also thrilled to share with you about two wonderful organizations this month, one in California and one in Texas, that are doing some amazing work. I know you will be blessed to learn more about what they are doing and their stories here.
